The pharmacy technician performs complex pharmaceutical assistance tasks under the direct supervision of the pharmacist in charge of the pharmacy. Tasks include computer entry of and filling of medication orders, compounding of sterile and non-sterile products, delivery of medications, stock maintenance, and clerical duties. The pharmacy technician does not supervise other employees, but may provide guidance to less experienced personnel.
