Pharmacy Technician Patient Advocate Specialist III

The Pharmacy Technician Patient Advocate Specialist III assists patients and providers in completing benefits investigations, enrolling patients in manufacturer assistance programs. Working under limited supervision, they specialize in a clinical service to ensure patient medication access.
Performs benefits investigations for specialized clinical service area.
Obtains insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications.
Coordinates with manufacturer assistance programs for under/uninsured patients.
Acts as a liaison between the patient, clinic and/or infusion center, pharmacy, third party payor, and/or drug manufacturer.
Works collaboratively with clinical pharmacists and care team.
Delivers quality customer service to every patient.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.
