Job Description: Performs duties related to delivery of pharmaceutical care including new medication ordering, processing, filling and delivery; replacement of unit stock; applicable billing procedures and replenishing of PYXIS med stationsAssists with maintaining accurate inventory and records for controlled drugs including periodic inventoriesProcesses IV medication orders and prepares intravenous admixtures (including chemotherapy using strict aseptic and protective techniques)Assists with processing of ambulatory care prescriptions adhering to established policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

Current State of Maine Pharmacy Tech  or be eligible for required pharmacy technician licensure (required)Current Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (CPhT), preferredAt least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a hospital setting and/or retail setting preferredExtensive customer service experience Excellent and demonstrated communication skills Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail Computer proficiency
