The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care. Receives written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate. Collect/enter appropriate method of payment from patrons for prescriptions, OTCs and non-pharmaceutical products purchased Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs. Answers telephones, responding to questions or requests.

Requirements:

Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field MINIMUM 1 YR PHARMACY TECH EXPERIENCE; 2 years preferred Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technicians required.  MUST BE REGISTERED AND CERTIFIED WITH THE MARYLAND STATE BOARD OF PHARMACY National PTCB certification preferred or equivalent state program
