Job Description

The Pharmacy Shipping Associate is responsible for packing and shipping prescriptions according to client specifications and other assigned duties.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and professional pharmacy functions.Accurately pack and ship prescription orders in a timely manner.Stock freezers with gel packs.Follow all procedures and pack-out processes when shipping an order.Respect and follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws.Follow and aid in the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology specific to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements.Maintain a clean and orderly work site.Keep an adequate stock of boxes and supplies at the shipping station.Essential SkillsOne (1) year of previous pharmacy experience with exposure to fulfillment of prescription orders.Ability to lift 20lbs.Ability to work in a standing environment.High School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously.Ability to perform repetitious work accurately.Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsOne (1) year of experience in logistics or shipping/receiving is preferred.Ability to work independently with little supervision and meet daily deadlines.Focused team player, who can work in conjunction with pharmacists, other departments, and management.Ability to learn from a variety of techniques.Ability to follow established process flows.Ability to work effectively in highly stressful situations, exhibiting flexibility in changing situations.Work Environment

This position is located at the Indiana facility and requires working in a standing environment. Typical hours are 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM. The role involves physical demands such as lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50 pounds, as well as standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for prolonged periods of time. The work site is indoors with exposure to noise and vibrations.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
