+ Job Summary :
+ The Philanthropy Manager – Annual Giving & Grants contributes to the organization's strategic goals through the grant cycle management and annual giving program management for the Foundation. Under the direction of the Executive Director of the CalvertHealth Foundation, the Philanthropy Manager – Annual Giving & Grants oversees the grant functions of CalvertHealth managing the internal development of promising grant projects, researching opportunities, preparing applications, post-award writing and financial reconciliation, and managing reporting and close out in cooperation with staff in charge of grant-funded projects and grants compliance. The Manager also oversees the planning, budgeting, coordination, and execution of annual giving programs to engage new donors, maintain relationships with and support from existing donors, and move major gift prospects to greater levels of support.
Reporting to the CalvertHealth Foundation Executive Director, this position will serve as a strategic liaison between the Foundation and its donors and prospects. The Manager interfaces with members of the Foundation Board, and the Health System, as well as cross-functional colleagues across the system to foster philanthropic relationships.
+ Education :
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred.
+ Registration/Certification/Licensure :
+ None
+ Experience :
+ Minimum of five years of professional work experience directly related to the essential duties in the areas of grant proposal development, administration and compliance, and annual giving program development and administration.
+ Other Requirements :
+ Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience as a public speaker.
+ Strong team player.
+ Experience in health care related grant writing and support preferred.
