Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.

Acknowledge and/or greet guests and customers in a kind, professional manner and explain procedure Identify patient according to lab procedures Collect, prepare, store and/or transport specimens using correct techniques, anticoagulants Collect, process and perform bedside testing according to protocol Assist in maintaining supplies Receive incoming phone calls, document incoming requests for blood to be drawn and follow through on request Effectively use computer options relevant to job duties in section Receive incoming phone calls, document incoming request for blood to be drawn and follow through on collection as outlined in SES, telephone Communication, Personal Ownership, and Service Recovery. Assist in maintaining supplies. Coordinate daily technical activities and assure tests are complete and accurate in a timely manner by reviewing worksheets, pending logs, and uncollected lists. Any other tasks assigned by Lab Supervisor or Office Manager Job Requirements

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:

Minimum of Graduation from a phlebotomy program from an accredited school
