Phlebotomist - 4 hours - Patient Service Centers

Description:Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Hartford, CT              Outpatient Lab 4 hrs, days

You would be responsible to register patient information, obtain blood specimens, process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis. You will need dependable transportation to cover, if necessary, other Patient Service Centers, as needed. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients.

What will you do:

Properly identify and register patients, per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods

Labels all specimens following laboratory policies and procedures

Work Hours/Shift:
• 4 hours, flexible start and end times based on Center’s operation of hours.  Will float to other centers when needed, need dependable transportation

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Laboratory experience, specimen processing preferred; clinical office experience with medical terminology

National Certification preferred
