Phlebotomist

Phlebotomist is responsible for clinical laboratory duties, including:

All Sites:  Reception and Telephone duties & proficient operation laboratory equipment including HIS/LIS systems; specimen handling:  receiving and processing; prep & shipping of lab specimens for at Reference Laboratories; specimen/patient registration; phlebotomy - collection of blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick; therapeutic blood collection; swab collection of specific Micro samples (per competency); assignment to OP Lab locations; training new staff as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Completion of an approved phlebotomy or medical assistance  program meeting requirements to be licenses as a MA-P or MA-C in WA State. Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification  Six months: Direct experience as a phlebotomist and/or completion of a Phlebotomy program.
