Shift Day Monday - Friday 7:45am 4:15pm

Preferred Experience Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies:  ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA.   Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT)

The Phlebotomist 2 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care. Assists with training and auditing of behaviors and performance, as assigned.

\n

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

\n\nFollows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.\nResponsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.\nPerforms job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.\nPerforms clerical duties.\nDemonstrates engagement with achieving department goals and continuous improvement.\n\n

\n\nKnowledge and ability to perform laboratory protocols and procedures in accordance with regulations.\nStatistical and critical thinking abilities.\nAbility to comprehend and communicate instructions.\nAbility to multitask.\nSkill in the use of computers and related software applications.\nKnowledge of safety and infection control standards.\nAbility to work collaboratively with others.\n\n

\n\nEDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent\nEXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience\nCERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -\n\n

       Donor Phlebotomy Tech-ASCP (DPT), Phlebotomy Technician (PBT): Must have a Phlebotomy Tech Cert from one of these agencies:
ASCP, NPA, ASPT, NCCT, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA, AAH or ACA.

OR

Donor Phlebotomy Tech certification from the ASCP.
