The registered phlebotomist greets and handles outpatients, telephones, requests and performs procurement and processing of clinical specimens for laboratory analysis and reporting of results. The registered phlebotomist works under the general direction of the phlebotomy supervisor to perform clerical and miscellaneous tasks in the laboratory, yet hold the credentials to work independently. Being able to become the educator for new hire phlebotomists. The position requires a high level of public contact and the ability to deal with people in stressful situations.

Required Qualifications: 

Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire. 6 months of working experience or satisfactory completion of 6 months medically-oriented training program.
