Phlebotomist

$2,500 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Phlebotomist is responsible for clinical laboratory duties, including: 

All Sites:  Reception and Telephone duties & proficient operation laboratory equipment including HIS/LIS systems; specimen handling:  receiving and processing; prep & shipping of lab specimens for at Reference Laboratories; specimen/patient registration; phlebotomy - collection of blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick; therapeutic blood collection; swab collection of specific Micro samples (per competency); assignment to OP Lab locations; training new staff as assigned.

Required Qualifications: 

Coursework/Training - Completion of an approved phlebotomy or medical assistance  program meeting requirements to be licenses as a MA-P or MA-C in WA State. Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire.  6 months - Direct experience as a phlebotomist and/or completion of a Phlebotomy program.
