Hiring a Full-Time Phlebotomist in Brooklyn! **Must be bilingual in Russian** Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Phlebotomist with over 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient with straight needles and comfortable performing venipunctures independently from day one. Strong communication skills and punctuality are essential. Bilingual proficiency in Russian is required. Responsibilities + Performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontaminating equipment. + Updating patient information and collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures. + Explaining the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously. + Demonstrating techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. + Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. + Labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test orders. + Checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy. + Packaging specimens for transport and storing specimen samples according to required temperatures. + Placing samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately labeling them, and following specific procedures to maintain specimen integrity during transport. Qualifications + Proficiency with straight needles + Venipuncture + Blood draw + Minimum 2 year of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting + Bilingual in Russian Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working in an outpatient setting + Strong communication skills + Reliable and punctual Work Environment The position is based in a busy Patient Service Center (PSC) in Brooklyn, handling 60-70 patients daily. The work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9am to 6pm, Wednesday from 1pm to 8pm, and Friday from 11am to 7pm.
