+ JOB SUMMARY + Performs venipuncture and skin punctures competently and expediently. Has thorough knowledge of test requirements, assists in lab as needed. Responsibilities include bleeding time tests, blood cultures, and blood samples. + DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: + Education/Regulatory Requirements: + High School diploma/GED. + Eighty hours of training in the proper procedure to be employed in the performance of venipuncture and skin punctures under the supervision of the phlebotomy supervisor. + Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification preferred. + Skills: + Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills. + May be required to make reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of Phlebotomy without compromising client care.
