Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood collections by venipuncture, handling various specimen collections, and ensuring accurate data entry and billing processes. You will work closely with patients and medical staff to prepare specimens for testing and maintain accurate records.

ResponsibilitiesPerform blood collections by venipunctureCollect and store specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and moreDemonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needlesPerform data entry of patient information accurately and timelyProcess billing information and collect payments when requiredPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisCheck all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracyPackage specimens for transportMaintain patient and specimen information logsEssential Skills2+ years Phlebotomy experienceVenipunctureSpecimen collectionBlood drawTest orderingPaperwork processingSpecimen processingProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteData entryAdditional Skills & QualificationsPhlebotomy certification (preferred)2+ years work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital settingHigh School Diploma or GEDWork Environment

These are all first shift roles supporting either out patient labs or provider offices
