Phlebotomist
Job Title: Phlebotomist Float Job Description We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist Float with over 3 years of phlebotomy experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient with straight needles, reliable, punctual, and possess strong communication skills. Fluency in Russian is required. Responsibilities + Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate equipment. + Update patient information accurately. + Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. + Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures as required. + Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. + Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. + Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. + Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy. + Package specimens for transport. + Store specimen samples according to the required temperature, place samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately label, and follow different procedures as outlined by specific protocols to maintain the integrity of the specimens. Essential Skills + 3+ years of phlebotomy experience. + Proficiency with straight needles. + Reliable and punctual. + Strong communication skills. + Fluency in Russian. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Minimum of 2 years of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or outpatient setting. + Experience in specimen collection, patient care, venipuncture, and blood draws.
