Job Opportunity: Phlebotomist - Bronx, NY
We are actively seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with at least 2 years of recent experience. The successful candidate will be adept in using straight needles, particularly with pediatric patients. Strong communication, reliability, and punctuality are crucial for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.Centrifuge and store specimens following established protocols.Maintain and decontaminate patient information.Clearly explain venipuncture procedures to patients.Match laboratory requisition forms with specimen tubes for accuracy.Prepare specimens for transport while ensuring integrity and proper labeling.Essential Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience.Proficient in straight and butterfly needles for pediatric patients.Excellent communication skills.Reliable and punctual work ethic.Additional Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Work Environment:
Location: Bronx site, servicing 60-70 patients daily.Full-time, Monday-Friday, typically 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.Join us in providing quality care and support to our patients!
