Astria Health is looking to add a Phlebotomist to our team. This is a Full Time position with variable shifts.

As a Phlebotomist you will  be responsible for performing accurate and timely pre-analytical functions of patient identification, blood and body fluid specimen collection, labeling and processing. You will:

Perform applicable blood collection technique such as venipuncture and capillary collection. Explain venipuncture procedures to patients and answering any questions about the process. Prepare the patient for the blood draw. Responsible for accurate and timely pre-analytical functions of specimen collection, labeling, receipt and processing. Uphold laboratory compliance and accreditation through adherence to established department policies and procedures, safety standards and infection control standards. Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries. Adhere to the core values and standards of the organization.

 

What you bring to the role:

 

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited education institution Coursework/Training: Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training Program Upon Hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification Upon Hire: Current BCLS certification
