Job Description
The Float Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing various tasks related to specimen collection and processing, including blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontamination, and updating patient information. The role requires collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures while explaining the process clearly and courteously to patients. You will demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles, ensure all physician orders are fully understood, and match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.

This position requires supporting three IOP locations in McMinnville and Murfreesboro. Schedules will be made in advance to determine the specific locations where coverage is needed. There is potential to cover locations in Mt Juliet and Cookeville, with mileage expenses reimbursed when floating. Work hours are typically Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, depending on location, with some locations opening as early as 7:30 AM and closing as late as 5:30 PM.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
