Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team. You will be responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office or outpatient clinic setting. This role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens, accurate entry into the computer system, preparation of samples for analytical testing, and distribution to the proper analytical area. You will also perform specified analytical testing as assigned, following the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
ResponsibilitiesDraw patients' blood in a doctor's office.Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.Properly enter specimen information into the computer system.Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the appropriate analytical area.Perform pre and post aspects of analytical testing.Conduct specified analytical testing as assigned.Adhere to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.Essential SkillsExperience with blood draw and specimen collection.Knowledge of laboratory procedures and phlebotomy techniques.Experience with specimen processing and patient care.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior phlebotomy experience is preferred. Preferably 1-2 years of experience in phlebotomy. Either in a high volume setting or and IOP.Personality and integrity are more important than experience.Work Environment
The position will be based in a doctor's office onsite in Paradise Valley, AZ. The schedule will be Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36
