Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves working primarily with cancer and orthopedic patients, managing blood and urine sample collections, and processing samples using EPIC software.
Responsibilities
+ Collect blood and urine samples from adult cancer and orthopedic patients.
+ Process samples in the EPIC system.
+ Answer phones and provide customer service.
+ Travel by foot to patient rooms for blood draws.
+ Handle a high volume of blood draws, especially between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of experience as a phlebotomist within a hospital setting.
+ Proficiency with EPIC software, with experience using hand-held Rover devices highly preferred.
+ Phlebotomy certification is highly preferred but not required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Work Environment
The position is 100% onsite within a fast-paced clinical lab. Available shifts include Monday-Thursday 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM (10-hour shift), with no weekends or on-call duties. Additional openings include Day Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Weekend/Night Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Training will be conducted on the first shift for one week. The role offers a 3-month contract with the opportunity to apply for permanent vacancies. Successful candidates will work in an environment supporting three cancer centers and orthopedic clinics, with competitive benefits and opportunities for internal mobility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.72 - $22.87/hr.
