Phlebotomist Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing samples from clients in a fast-paced environment. This role involves handling various specimen types, including blood and urine, and accurately entering sample information into our computer system. Key Responsibilities: + Collect and process blood, urine, and other specimens from clients. + Ensure proper labeling and handling of all samples. + Enter sample information accurately into the computer system. + Maintain a clean and organized work area. + Follow all safety and infection control protocols. + Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and records. + Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate any concerns or discomfort. + Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies. + Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. + Participate in training and continuing education to stay updated on best practices. Qualifications: + 6 months to 1 year+ of phlebotomy experience. + Experience in clinics (any specialty) or hospitals is required. + Proficient data entry skills. + Ability to handle specimen samples with care and precision. Characteristics Needed: + Reliable and punctual. + Motivated and eager to work. + Strong attention to detail. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
