Job Description
+ A local hospital is seeking to build out a phlebotomy team that will work as an extension of the nursing team. This role is essential for providing high-quality care and support to patients.
Responsibilities
+ Perform phlebotomy procedures
+ Ambulate patients and monitor their walking
+ Conduct EKGs
+ Answer call lights
+ Check vital signs as needed
+ Stock supply closets during downtime
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in phlebotomy
+ Customer service skills
+ Medical assistant experience
+ Ability to perform EKGs
+ Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Phlebotomy experience verified with references
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Experience as a medical assistant
Work Environment
The work environment includes a lab and office setting within one of the leading hospitals in West Knoxville. This hospital is known for its specialization in elective procedures and is often referred to as the 'country club' of hospitals in the area. The position offers a long-term contract with benefits including 40 hours of PTO in the first 9 months and 60 hours of PTO offered every 6 months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
