Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist-CS to join our dynamic team. The primary responsibility of this role is specimen collection, including drug screens and blood samples, as well as processing these samples. The ideal candidate will utilize lab technology systems for data entry, test orders, and patient registration. Additional duties include labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required, stocking supplies, and answering phones when needed. Verification of patient demographic information is also a key responsibility.

You will be working as a single Phlebotomist at a very busy office. The office operates from 7:30 AM until 5:15 PM, and you will need to stay until the last patient is done and samples are spun down. Breaks and lunches are managed by team leads. The office handles approximately 40-50 patients daily, with Mondays being the busiest. You will need to handle primary care tasks and take walk-ins for CO-VID, flu, and strep testing. The environment is demanding, requiring you to have thick skin and the ability to perform straight sticks with minimal use of butterfly needles. The team lead will regularly check in, especially on busy days, to provide support. Working on certain holidays will be compensated with additional hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
