Job Title: Phlebotomist (Farmington Internal Medicine Physicians)Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team at Farmington Internal Medicine Physicians. This role involves drawing and processing patient samples, organizing blood draws, and ensuring proper packaging and shipping of samples. This is a full-time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Responsibilities
+ Draw patient blood samples 30-50 times per day.
+ Properly process and package blood samples.
+ Communicate with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.
+ Schedule pick-ups and shipping of samples to the medical testing site in Novi/Farmington.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in blood draw, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.
+ Experience in processing and packaging samples.
+ At least three years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.
+ Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.
+ Experience with 200 plus solo draws.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer tube colors for multiple tube collections.
+ Strong skills with straight needles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment
The team wears navy blue scrubs. When working offsite, you will be accompanied by another phlebotomist. This role provides great hands-on phlebotomy experience in an outpatient setting, with opportunities for raises at six months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50
