A Brief Overview:
The Phlebotomist II obtains blood and other specimens for laboratory testing via venipuncture, finger sticks, heel sticks and other specimen collection methods.

What you will do:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Basic knowledge of computer systems required.Certification in approved school of phlebotomy or equivalent preferred.Current CPR certification or must obtain within 6 months of employment.ASCP certification or equivalent is preferred.If responsible for collecting Nursing Homes, must possess a valid Illinois class “D” driver’s license and satisfy the annual Drivers Motor Vehicle verification review.
