Job Title: Phlebotomist II - SuwaneeOpportunity Summary + Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate equipment. + Update patient information and collect specimens according to established procedures. + Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously to patients. + Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. + Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. + Ensure all test requisitions or computer labels match the script to ensure 100% accuracy. + Package specimens for transport, store specimens at the required temperature, and place samples in appropriate collection containers or tubes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2-4 years of phlebotomy experience or relevant experience in a obgyn or women's center. + Customer service experience. + Experience with 25+ patient draws per day. + Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. + Strong communication skills to explain procedures to patients. + Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in labeling and matching requisition forms. Work Environment This position is based at North Atlanta Women's Specialist on Johns Creek Parkway. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves performing 30+ draws per day in a fast-paced environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
