Phlebotomist - Long Term Care - 40 hrs - Evenings

Description:Mercy Medical Center, Life Labs, Springfield, MA      Hospital Phlebotomy     

Responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy in the Springfield, MA area nursing homes. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Must have dependable transportation.

What you will do: 

·         Receives assignments, obtains required supplies and equipment necessary to carry out task while servicing area nursing homes.

·         Drives personal vehicle to travel to client locations and SPHS facilities. Completes appropriate mileage forms on a daily/weekly basis.

 

Work Hours/Shift:
•  40 hours, Evening Shift, rotating weekends/holidays

           

Requirements:

·         High school or GED.

·         Nat'l Phlebotomy Certification preferred.   

·         Technical training in Phlebotomy Program, 1 year of experience, preferred.

·         Strong interpersonal skills; strong phlebotomy skills. Adaptability and flexibility necessary for work schedule and patient care requirements. Good command of the English language and medical terminology.
