Phlebotomist - Mercantile

Obtains accurate and reliable blood and body fluid specimens from properly identified adult and/or geriatric patients. Identifies phlebotomy difficulties, defines appropriate solutions and coordinates resources. Maintains outstanding relationships with client and clinic staff.

Required qualifications:

upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

Preferred qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduate of college accredited phlebotomy certified program. Or 1 year phlebotomy experience in a similar hospital setting.  5 years external phlebotomy experience in an acute care and/or equivalent setting; OR  3 years Providence Health System laboratory phlebotomy experience.
