Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist for our Novi location. This role involves drawing, processing, and packaging blood samples, with an emphasis on accuracy and patient care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with clinic staff and office personnel.
ResponsibilitiesDraw patient blood samples, process them properly, and package the samples, typically 30-50 times per day.Communicate daily with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws and coordinate the pick-ups/shipping of the samples to the medical testing site in Novi/Farmington.Work well with office staff, demonstrating patience and effective communication.Read manual requisition forms, understanding the order of draw, requisitions, and tube colors to ensure specimens are processed and labeled correctly.Essential SkillsProficiency in blood draw, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.Experience in processing and packaging blood samples.At least three years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.Experience with 200 plus solo draws.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer order of draw tube colors for multiple tube collections.Strong skills with straight needles, as this is the primary needle used.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Work Environment
The team wears navy blue scrubs. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM. When working offsite, you will be accompanied by another phlebotomist. This role offers great hands-on phlebotomy experience in an outpatient setting with opportunities for raises at six months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hr.
