Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drawing, processing, and packaging patient blood samples. This position requires flexibility and the ability to commute to multiple office locations throughout Metro Detroit.
ResponsibilitiesDraw patient blood samples 30-50 times per day.Properly process and package the blood samples.Communicate daily with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.Schedule the pick-ups/shipping of blood samples to the medical testing site in Novi/Farmington.Commute to various office locations in Metro Detroit including Livonia, Riverview, Dearborn Heights, Canton, Allen Park, and Westland.Maintain flexibility as schedules may change on short notice.Essential SkillsAt least three years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.Experience with 200+ solo blood draws.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer order of draw tube colors for multiple tube collections.Skillful with straight needles, which are primarily used.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Work Environment
The team wears Navy Blue Scrubs. When working offsite, you will be paired with another phlebotomist from our team. This role offers great hands-on phlebotomy experience in outpatient settings and opportunities for raises at 6 months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
