Job Description

Phlebotomist- hours to vary. Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares drug screens for testing. Clerical duties are included in position. Relies on instructions and established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires a high school diploma and/or certification by a nationally recognized body. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
