A clinically competent member of the Laboratory who will perform collection and accessioning of specimens submitted to the Laboratory as well as collected by the specimens collected by other staff/physician offices/clinics. Will provide patient care in accordance with MVRMC policies and procedures. Expected to provide a positive image of MVRMC and to be able to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians and visitors.

Education:

Required:  High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

Required: Minimum of one (1) year working experience as a Phlebotomist; will consider new graduate of a Phlebotomy program/equivalent.

Licenses/Certificates:

Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after one full month of work.

Preferred: Board certified Phlebotomist
