Job Title: Phlebotomist (West Bloomfield Stationary)Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in West Bloomfield. This role involves drawing patient blood samples, processing them correctly, and ensuring they are properly packaged for transportation. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to organize and schedule blood draws as well as coordinate the pickup and shipment of samples.
Responsibilities
+ Draw patient blood samples, properly process and package them, approximately 30-50 times per day.
+ Communicate daily with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.
+ Schedule the pickup and shipment of samples to the medical testing site in Novi/Farmington.
Essential Skills
+ At least three years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.
+ Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.
+ Experience with 200+ solo blood draws.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
+ Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer order of draw tube colors for multiple tube collections.
+ Strong skills with straight needles, which are primarily used in this role.
+ High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must be able to describe the order of draw and identify tube colors.
Work Environment
The team wears navy blue scrubs. When working offsite, you will be accompanied by another phlebotomist from the team. The working hours range from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional variations depending on the day and location. The position offers great hands-on phlebotomy experience in an outpatient setting, with potential raises at six months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00
