Phlebotomy Supervisor

As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will lead a team of Phlebotomists and directly impact the Patient/Client experience. You will manage and oversee all aspects of our LabCorp patient service centers and designated client locations. This role emphasizes your ability to lead, inspire, and develop others. PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of (+25) phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's officesManage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels and information logsMonitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessaryCoordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinkingPerform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisalsPartner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actionsHire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positionsCommunicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior managementProvide exceptional customer service to all patients and clientsAssist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client OfficesProvide resolution of any patient or client issuesPerform, collect and prepare specimens when neededTravel to additional sites as necessary

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalentPrior experience in a leadership positionPhlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferredPrevious experience as a phlebotomist is highly preferredMust be at least 21 years’ old and have a Valid Driver's License and good driving recordProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionReliable transportation and clean driving record if applicableFlexibility to work overtime as neededAble to pass a standardized color blindness test
