Phlebotomy Technician Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie, WI (Onsite) Full-Time Apply Now Job Details + POSITION PURPOSE + Performs venipunctures, gives patients instructions to properly collect non-blood specimens and performs non-technical and clerical functions related to specimen collection. Performs point of care (POC) testing at the patient bedside. + MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED + High School or Equivalent (GED) + MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED + Entry Level + LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED + N/A + KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED + Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend the English language. + PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES + Collection of blood specimens from various patient types using defined venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques. Status recording of the collection date and time in the Laboratory Information System. + Instruction of patients in the collection of non-blood specimens. + Performs point of care testing at the patient bedside. + Clear communication with patients, physicians and fellow employees. + Maintenance of the assigned work area, including disinfections and stocking supplies.
