Phlebotomy Training Coordinator

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Training Coordinator to join its team in Tulsa, OK. This position will be responsible for the organization, development and execution of training and onboarding for new employees. The ideal candidate must be able to be an independent self-starter, collaborate with leadership teams, passionate about training, continuous improvement and motivated to work with a customer centric team in an innovative company.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (work schedule can include additional hours for training needs)

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training to ensure a positive new hire experienceProvide on-going group and individualized training for purposes of work performance enhancement and general educationDeliver training in the areas of company and department policies and procedures, department related competencies for PhlebotomyDevelop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectivesEvaluate and update existing training materials and plansServe as a procedural and compliance resource for department employeesSupport leadership with their goals in relation to quality and service metricsAssist with the creation of improvement plans for underperforming employeesMaintain accurate logs and records for all trainings conductedProvide training with respect and professionalism at all timesAssist with the workflow during times of high volume or when coverage is neededMay travel to client sites and other branches to assist in trainingResearch industry related information when necessaryAdditional administrative tasks as needed

 

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalentProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionReliable transportation and clean driving record if applicableFlexibility to work overtime as neededPhlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferredPrevious experience as a phlebotomist is preferred3-5 years of experience in related field
