\nPhlebotomy Training Program Student
\nShift - Day Monday-Friday 3 Weeks Virtual classroom Training and 3 Weeks Clinical on-site
\nThe Baylor Scott and White Health Phlebotomy training program is designed to be a gateway to bring quality phlebotomist into the BSWH system. Individuals who successfully complete this program will be offered the opportunity for full-time permanent employment, however employment is not guaranteed.
\nThe program is 6 weeks in duration with an average of 35-40 hours of training and instructions per week. The course is broken down into two parts: virtual classroom instructions and on onsite clinical experience. You must have internet and computer access.
\nThe Phlebotomist 1 collects and processes quality specimens in a safe manner as outlined in BSWH policies and procedures. Aids in the delivery of exceptional patient care.
\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
\n\nFollows all established specimen collection, labeling, transportation, and handling procedures.\nResponsible for high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.\nPerforms job responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.\nDemonstrates engagement with achieving department goals and continuous improvement.\nPerforms clerical duties.\n\nKEY SUCCESS FACTORS
