Phone Payment Processing Agent

As a Payment Processing Representative, you will be responsible for processing payments for government/municipality customers and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.


• Process inbound calls to the point of resolution; effectively and accurately handle customer payment inquiries, complaints, and requests for payment information.
• Maintain strong, open communication with co-workers, Supervisors, Managers, and other departments.
• Strive for excellence in customer satisfaction by providing courteous service to all internal and external customers.
• Answer varied questions regarding Certified Payments operations from customers.
• Encourage open communication by listening attentively and actively.
• Obtain and forward information to other Certified Payments departments and sales associates as needed.



Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience: HS/GED and 0 years
• Prior customer service and technical troubleshooting experience in a call center environment is required.
• Bankcard industry experience preferred, but not required
• Experience informing clients, superiors, peers, and direct reports based on their information needs.
• Knowledge of computer software systems including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft office applications.


Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience: HS/GED and 0 years

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

• Compelling and articulate speaker with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Maintains careful attention to detail, completing multiple or repetitive task, and demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.
• Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
• Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
• Solves problems by gathering information and evaluating options.

• Track record of maintaining quality standards for the team and implementing quality processes.
• Manages time effectively and prioritizes completing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Has excellent attendance and completes quality work on time.

Must be 18 years of age or older
