The role of the ambulatory care registered nurse (ARN) is a complex, multifaceted specialty that encompasses independent and collaborative practice. The comprehensive practice is built upon a broad knowledge base of nursing and health sciences, and applies clinical expertise rooted in the nursing process. RNs use evidence based information across a variety of outpatient health care settings to achieve and ensure patient safety and quality of care while improving patient outcomes.
What you will do:
Telephone triageWork in a fast paced environment which may include acute care, chronic and disability care follow-up, and palliative care in end-of-life situations for patients in all age groups.Encounters may occur in a clinical setting, on the telephone or by electronic messaging and are generally initiated by the individual seeking information and/or care.Must be able to manage multiple tasks and patients at the same time while showing respect and courtesy to each individual.Possible exposure to infectious disease, hazardous chemicals and frequent blood and body fluid.Ability to work flexible schedules when necessary in order to adjust to office workload for urgent, emergent cases and walk-ins and /or patent volumes.❖ Central triage ambulatory team members are expected to work all shifts/all days, including weekends and holidays, to provide 24-hour, 365-day departmental coverage for after-hour, weekend, and holiday call coverage needs.
❖ Central triage team members will receive an additional flat rate coverage fee for weekend hours. Weekend hours are defined as Friday, 5 PM until Monday, 8 AM.

W2: Sun 645a-715p, Mon 645a-715p, Weds 645a-715p, Thurs 5-9p
What you will need:
Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited school of nursingEnrollment in a Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) Degree from an accredited school of nursing and completion required within 4 years of hireValid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure authorized in the state of Michigan.Experience in a health care setting or enrollment in RN Residency ProgramSpecialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty areaOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
