Description We’re seeking a highly skilled Freelance Photo Retoucher with expertise in healthcare and medical imagery. Key Responsibilities: + Retouch and enhance medical/healthcare-specific images, ensuring a polished, professional, and accurate final product. + Adjust colors, lighting, and composition to meet client specifications and maintain visual consistency with branding guidelines. + Remove imperfections or distractions while preserving the integrity and authenticity of the medical imagery. + Collaborate with internal teams, such as art directors and project managers, to ensure that retouching aligns with client objectives. + Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with healthcare industry standards, including HIPAA compliance when working with sensitive material. + Deliver retouched images on schedule, often with short turnaround times, while maintaining high quality. Requirements Requirements: + Proven experience as a photo retoucher specializing in healthcare, medical, or scientific imagery (portfolio required). + Strong understanding of medical and anatomical visual standards (e.g., editing surgical, anatomical, or procedural imagery). + Expert proficiency with photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. + Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to balance technical accuracy and creative aesthetics. + Experience working with branding guidelines to achieve consistent, professional results. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. + Experience in retouching both digital and print-ready images. + Familiarity with healthcare industry compliance standards, such as HIPAA, is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: + Background in healthcare, medical, or biomedical industries. + Knowledge of enhancing imagery for use in marketing campaigns, medical presentations, publications, or patient education materials. + Familiarity with stock medical imagery databases.
