Photo Studio Supervisor

The Photo Studio Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of shoots and the timely delivery of digital assets to the catalog team, ensuring the right balance between creative and operational requirements to meet our business needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the staffing (hiring and dismissing), evaluations, discipline, coaching and goal setting for the digital business unit team.

Plan and execute a photo strategy for items in the product catalog working with multiple teams (catalog, digital marketing, merchandise, distribution operations, etc.)

Determine what images are necessary to photograph

Determine order of importance/priority for images

Work to define required still images in addition to the 360° images

Meet with the digital business, merchandise, catalog and suppliers regularly to ensure image quality and workflow process meets all needs and define future projects based on part type scorecards and images needed

Work with merchandise and catalog to establish the company’s photography standards (image specs, shot list, required views, etc.)

Work with merchandise and catalog to establish a process for billing suppliers when images are required in our studio vs the supplier sending them through regular catalog feed

Continue to enhance the workflow with IT and catalog for ease of processing images

Coordinate with distribution operations team to receive and send out daily deliveries of products

Set up and administer the digital assets management structure/hierarchy to ensure photography organization

Ensure quality control on all images taken in the studio, resubmitting products for re-shoots as needed

Assist photo room photographer(s) with troubleshooting, shot set-up and lighting as needed

Report to stakeholders on key metrics and provide insights and recommendations for growth and best practices (supplier/part type scorecard updates, completion levels, etc.)

Assist with special department projects at the direction of the Managers, Directors or Vice President

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

Ability to lead, develop, and supervise a team.

Experience with photography.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including Photoshop and Lightroom.

Ability to analyze and present analytics and metrics.

Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills. 

Presents a professional company image and positive attitude.

Ability to work productively with limited supervision.

Superb attention to detail.

Self-motivated and creative.

Desired: 

Experience with online merchandising and product photography.

Automotive knowledge. 

Experience working with cross-functional teams with an ability to influence others internally and externally.

Desire to increase our web sales through email and search engine optimization campaigns.
