**77015BR** **Title:** Photographer **Location/Division:** IL-Chicago **Job Summary:** The photographer is responsible for creating and preparing high-quality digital photographs and videos for Paper Source, Paper Source Wholesale websites, and Barnes & Noble. They will work on marketing emails and print collateral, as well as support our social media team with content creation as needed. The photographer receives and organizes photo samples from the Buying team. They will do installs and dismantle photo sets (including camera, lighting, props, and samples), style photos and videos for approval, and shoot photos and videos. They will work with Graphic Designers, a Photo Retoucher, the Merchandising, Commercial Strategy, and e-commerce teams. Candidates MUST: be local to be considered, as the role is based in the Chicago, Illinois office with a 5-day onsite work week requirement. Submit a portfolio link in the resume to be considered. **Auto req ID:** 77015BR **Employment Type:** Full-Time **State:** Illinois **City:** Chicago **What You Do:** • Photograph all product images needed for e-commerce, in-store, and any other marketing materials for Paper Source, Paper Source Wholesale, and Barnes and Noble as needed • Style and photograph all beauty/lifestyle images for e-commerce, in-store, and any other marketing materials for Paper Source, Paper Source Wholesale, and Barnes & Noble • Create GIFs and videos for product highlights, brand statements, and seasonal launches • Support the production process, which may include creating shot lists and art direction • Operate and maintain all photo equipment and the photo studio • Procure photo props, set props, and backgrounds as needed for photo styling • Install and dismantle all photo sets • Receive, organize, and return all photo samples promptly • Remain current and knowledgeable about cameras, lighting, software, and hardware • Able to work under stringent deadlines, and flexible to changing priorities • Have a passion for color, paper, crafting, design, and photography • Participate in seasonal inspiration and trend meetings, and collaborate with the Design team on crafting projects and inspiration. **Knowledge & Experience:** • Degree in Photography or Graphic Design or quantifiable work-related experience • Studio or Corporate photography experience is a MUST • High technical proficiency in Photoshop with 3 years of relevant job experience • Strong sense of design, composition, color, and aesthetic judgment • Ability to manage changing priorities, set and maintain deadlines, work with a collaborative team, accept and work with given feedback • Service-oriented personality • Proactive sense of urgency • Able to show initiative and offer new ideas for process improvements • Possess strong multi-tasking and organizational skills • Mac OS expert • Mastery of Capture One • Proficient in current versions of Adobe Photoshop, working knowledge of all other Adobe software • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel **Job Category:** Creative & Design **EEO Statement:** As an Affirmative Action Employer, Barnes & Noble hires qualified people to perform the many tasks necessary for the success of our business and is committed to diversity in the workplace.
