BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

In this role, you are responsible for conducting interviews during the story gathering process and gathering all necessary elements for the story. The successful candidate will also be responsible for shooting VO's, SOT's, and putting together story packages. Additionally, the Photographer-Editor will operate cellular-driven transmission/live streaming equipment and communicate with News management regularly, including when out in the field. You’ll be part of a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, and accurate content to connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS

Required Qualifications

Experience Shooting and editing television news footage experience - 1+ yearsEducation:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experienceTechnical skills:Intermediate level proficiency in appropriate software applications or technologyAbilities:Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but require occasional deviation from accepted practiceTravel Ability:Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the communitySchedule:Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies. Willing and able to work weekends and holidays

Editing knowledge, Non-Linear skills

Works inside in a climate-controlled environment and outside throughout the year and may be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold conditionsDrives company vehicle to and from different locations in a safe manner by obeying all traffic lawsAbility to distinguish colors and discern soundsAbility to work different shifts, be flexible with schedule changes and able to cover stand-by responsibilities when assigned

The base pay for this position generally is between $24.30 and $53.40. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
