Job Description:

As a Photomask R&D Technician in Wireless Semiconductor Division (WSD), you will support designs provided from Broadcom Design Centers to convert and fracture GDS artwork into MEBES format, provide Jobdeck and all required files and Semi P10 Information to Broadcom’s Mask-Shop vendors. 

We are looking to hire a talented, highly motivated Technician to work as a Day Shift Tech to Support Broadcom’s Photomask needs for both Internal and External Foundries and across Divisions, as needed.

You will be responsible for challenging tasks at Photomask Technology Center (PTC) that includes:

Follow established PTC procedures and workflow to generate Photomasks for the fabrication of Integrated Circuit Devices by performing all Data Peparation Operations and Tasks by manipulating GDS Design Artworks in different Processes and Technology Nodes and to transfer them to write ready Format artworks and their related Files.

Experienced in using sophisticated CATS Synopsys Software in order to work with PTC Engineering and Techs to insure that reticle artworks both match the design and meets all manufacturing requirements.

Familiar with Cadence Software Tools is a Plus; 

Familiar and/or expert on using Unix, Linux, and Window Operating Systems and other scripts and Tools;

Experience working in an environment requiring rapid and flawless execution under quick turn around tasks; 

Extremely detail-oriented to perform QA checks prior to  tape out to vendors;

Open to learn new software, accept and optimize work environment to improve performance and productivity on daily work;

Improvements in existing processes for delivering high-quality results;

Deliver robust solutions to address any Data Prep issues and problems encounter during the dry run and per-tape out to achieve Zero Data Error when releasing the final Tape Out and Jobdeck to our vendors for PhotoMask generation.

This position comes with a broad and rewarding set of responsibilities in support of new R&D process Development along with existing volume manufacturing Projects.
You'll spend time evaluating and testing new scripts to support any process changes toward automation, ensuring the identification and resolution of any finding errors, and communicate results among PTC team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree/College Diploma or BS in computer science degree or equivalent work experience;

•Experience/expertise in Data Prep Photomask and processing with at least 5 Years hands-on is a must.
•Familiarity/expertise/exposure to scriptwriting and programming and testing;

•Understanding of general processing techniques/concepts for silicon-based CMOS / SOI Devices and/or FBAR applications a strong plus.
•Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment and deliver results.
•Track record of self-motivated learning.
•Strong teamwork skills and communication with the Reticle Services and Design Team.
•Demonstrated ability to deliver improvements within a team environment.
•Legal authorization to work in the US required.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $26.50 - $37.00 per hour.

 

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents.
