The team you'll be part of

The Silicon Photonics Research Group within Bell Labs advances the state of the art in high-speed and high-capacity optical communications systems, lasers, frequency combs, metrology, sensing, quantum, integration, packaging, and computing using devices fabricated in any technology. 

Education Recommendations

Currently enrolled as a candidate for a PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field with an internationally accredited school.

Photonic device simulation, design, and test Lab automation skills Familiarity with optical communications

As part of our team, you will:

Contribute unique ideas in photonic integration that can solve real-world problems Design, Test, and Measurement of optoelectronic and photonic devices Demonstrate functionality of devices in larger systems and networking experiments Work in a collaborative environment Produce high-impact research papers
