Photonics Design Engineering Intern
Cadence Design Systems, Inc.
At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.
The Photonic Intern will work with the Cadence RD and Field teams to help prepare the workshop for the Cadence CONNECT: Photonics & Quantum Technologies event. The focus will be on preparing and testing the hands-on design data. As part of the work, the intern is expected to test all steps of the hands-on workshop
and bring “fresh eyes” to all these steps. Further, the intern will be responsible for creating the WS manual, reflecting the instructions for the attendants to follow. Excellent English communication skills are expected, but the intern will also work with our editing team to finalize the document.
Pre-existing knowledge of the Cadence Tools used for Photonics design flow is desirable but not required if the Intern has an open mindset to learn and is good at understanding general photonic circuits.
This is not a project about photonics device research.
Time permitting, the intern will also get involved in other tasks together with the RD team.
The position is on-site (San Jose), and the intern is expected to be in the office every day of the week.
The annual salary range for California is $28.60 to $53.12 an hour. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
