Position Overview:
The programmer will work with functional and technical architects/leads in analyzing the business requirement develop the code, test and implement it. The programmer also supports business users on a day to day basis responding to their queries related to computer systems, fixing bugs and making simple enhancements.

The programmer should strong technical and analytical skills. The position requires a highly motivated and versatile candidate with strong programming skills, good technical knowledge on the latest tools and platforms.


The programmer will mostly work on Drupal projects and will support other projects.

Essential Job Functions:Perform analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application TeamProvide maintenance, including production support, enhancement and development workWork with the Functional Architect and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as-needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirementsFollow quality standardsSupport installation of application releases into production as directedCommunicate accurate and useful status updatesComplete assigned tasksManage daily technical challenges and communicate with management any risks or issuesInteract with the Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Platform teams to ensure that solutions are built in adherence with the defined enterprise standardsCode enhancement and development programs and/or required fixes to production problems using the functional and technical programming standardsTest enhancement and development programsParticipate in structured code reviews / walkthroughsExecute all required process stepsCreate and provide content for operational documentation to Technical WritersUtilize configuration management tools, design tools, debugging tools, and any other environment specific tools necessary to create, test, and implement an applicationResearch problems before approaching the Team Lead or Functional Architect for assistanceKeep abreast with latest technologies and platformsEducational Qualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science or EngineeringRole Specific Experience: 2+ years of IT experience with thorough knowledge in analysis, design, coding and good knowledge of latest programming technologiesExperience and good understanding of traditional waterfall and agile methodologiesExperience with innovative use of analytical modelsAdvanced hands on experience in PHP, jQuery, MySQL, XML/XSS/XSD, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScriptRequired Skills/Abilities:Understanding of complex enterprise data modelsA range of skill set and good knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application TeamStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team environment.
