The Montefiore Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and team-oriented Physiatrist to work at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital (Burke) in White Plains, NY
in the acute inpatient rehabilitation program.
About the Position:
Candidates should be Board-Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), and Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in SCI Medicine (SCIM). Full time physicians are part of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Montefiore Health System and have academic titles within the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Primary responsibilities include the management of acute inpatient rehabilitation patients and may include outpatient and/or consultation responsibilities. Leadership and oversight of a multidisciplinary rehab team, including all therapy disciplines, nursing, social work, neuropsychology, and the patient experience team. Participation in teaching PM&R residents, fellows, and medical students as teaching faculty through bedside rounds and resident didactics. Participation in service activities on behalf of the department, medical school, and profession. Opportunities to participate in performance improvement (PI) projects, grant projects and clinical research.About Burke
Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is a member of the Montefiore Health System with an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Burke is a 150-bed free-standing acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital in White Plains, NY with eleven outpatient satellite sites throughout the Bronx, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley region. Burke serves a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Burke has a residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and fellowship programs in Brain Injury Medicine and Sports Medicine. In addition to a competitive salary of $210,000-$230,000, we offer the opportunity to make more income with additional call responsibilities and productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
