Empower Students Through Teachable Moments
Working with children from ages 10 to 21 in a special education setting. All classrooms are multiply disabled programs with most students classified as autistic. Bancroft partners with school districts and state agencies to address each student’s unique needs and supports, including special education, integrated therapies, communication strategies and devices, and residential program

Assess students individual abilities and create Individualized Education Plans(IEPs) as related to Health and Physical Education programDesign and implement individualized student goals, utilizing curriculum and clinical resourcesDevelop and adapt creative, out-of-the-box teaching strategies to address each students unique needs and abilitiesCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, support staff, andother educators, to ensure a holistic approach to each child's tailored educational journeyProvide a flexible, nurturing learning environment that fosters students; personal growth and self-confidenceMaintain open communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers, involving them in their child’s educational progressContinuously evaluate and adjust instructional methods and strategies to optimize student learning and growthWork within school budget to submit material requests annually to school principalParticipate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education QualificationsQualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Physical Education CE/CEAS or Standard License in Health and Physical Education Strong ability to think outside the box and adapt teaching methods to meetindividual student needsExcellent collaboration and communication skillsA deep commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment forstudents with diverse challengesBe able to work in a highly collaborative manner with all school staff and parentsMaintain the safety and well being of all students
